Personally I don’t believe in standing on the ice, or jamming the blueline, waiting. I have always told my players that hockey has to be played on your toes.

I wish that we could tumble them in the dryer for 30 minutes and get them to shrink, but that won’t happen.

This is the time of year you wait for, and we're right there. Guys who have never been in the playoffs before will feel that pressure. We're approaching the finish line of an 82-game season. It now goes from a marathon to a sprint, and when you're bunched up with other teams like we are, it's not talent that will get you there, but commitment.

This morning in the dressing room they were as down as I've seen a hockey club. Tonight they showed a lot of character. I have tremendous respect for this team.

They are getting tougher and tougher. I don't know if someone will make a movie on us, but they would have a good script.

They're two great young players who will sell the National Hockey League for years to come.
